Research SubcommitteeThe Research subcommittee functions as a primary
component of the RTRN Steering Committee. This committee provides
the leadership and direction that sets the research agenda for the
network. The Research subcommittee is responsible for identifying
research opportunities related to the five research areas:
Cardiovascular Disease, HIV/AIDS and Infectious diseases, Cancer and
Immunological diseases, Neurological diseases and Mental Health and
Obesity and Metabolic diseases; as well as, recognizing
opportunities for collaboration and participation at their own
institutions, and nationally and internationally. The Research
subcommittee is charged with integrating the activities of the
current funded RCMI programs at their institutions with those of the
RTRN.
